🌾 Cleanfarms 2023: Safely Dispose of Unwanted Pesticides & Old Livestock/Equine Medications
At SWT, we are committed to promoting environmental responsibility and providing solutions for our communities. That’s why we are thrilled to announce Cleanfarms’ upcoming visit in October 2023. Cleanfarms is an initiative that offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for you to safely dispose of unwanted or obsolete agricultural pesticides and livestock/equine medications, and it’s completely free!
🗓️ Save the Date: Cleanfarms will be available for one day only only at two of our locations:
– Gull Lake – Antelope Terminal: Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
– Shaunavon: Friday, October 27, 2023, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Cleanfarms won’t be returning until 2026, so this is your chance to ensure the responsible disposal of de-registered, outdated, or unwanted agricultural and commercial pesticides and livestock/equine medications.
🌱 Environmental Responsibility: By safely disposing of these materials, you contribute to sustainable farming practices and help keep our environment clean.
How to Prepare for Cleanfarms
- Gather: Collect all your unwanted agricultural pesticides and obsolete animal health medications.
- Place: Ensure that all items are placed in sealable or spill-proof containers to prevent any leakage or spills during transportation.
- Return: Bring these items to the designated collection site on the specified date. If you can’t make it on the scheduled days, you have the option to bring your unwanted pesticides and medications ahead of time!
🚫 Ineligible Materials: Please note that Cleanfarms cannot accept certain items, including fertilizers, diluted solutions, large quantities of unopened products, treated seeds, or other household hazardous waste. Additionally, they cannot handle needles/sharps, medicated feed, or aerosol containers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a cleaner environment and promote responsible farming practices. Let’s work together to make a positive impact on our community and farm sustainably.
