SWT is committed to conducting all business activities in a manner that protects the environment, health and safety of our employees, contractors, customers and the public. SWT will comply with applicable health and safety regulations and establish pertinent policies and procedures. The following statements have been created with the consultation of the Health and Safety Committee.
SWT will comply with all applicable legislation and policies; promote waste reduction, resource and property conservation and environmental protection, and train employees to be knowledgeable about all environmental matters relevant to their work.
Health and Safety
Management of SWT will enforce all applicable legislation, policies and procedures in the work place and will work with employees and the work place health and safety committee on health and safety issues. Management will also provide employees all training needs required by local, provincial and federal regulations.
Employees of SWT will follow applicable health and safety legislation, employer procedures and be involved in health and safety in the work place through the work place health and safety committee.
Contractors of SWT will follow applicable health and safety legislation and SWT policies and procedures.
